Welcome to Plantation Cafe. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and visits to our establishment. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Definitions

In these Terms:

"Plantation Cafe", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Plantation Cafe located in Midrand.
"You" or "your" refers to the customer or user of our services.
"Services" refers to our restaurant, bar, catering, event hosting, and online services.

2. Reservations and Bookings

2.1. Table reservations can be made through our website, phone, or in person.

2.2. We hold reservations for 15 minutes past the reserved time before releasing the table.

2.3. For group bookings (8+ people), we may require a deposit which will be deducted from your final bill.

2.4. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for group bookings to receive a deposit refund.

3. Catering Services

3.1. Catering bookings require a signed agreement and non-refundable deposit to secure the date.

3.2. Final guest numbers must be confirmed 72 hours before the event. You will be charged for this number or the actual number of guests, whichever is higher.

3.3. Menu selections must be finalized 7 days before the event date.

3.4. Cancellation of catering services more than 14 days before the event will receive a refund of any payments minus the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days are subject to full payment.

4. Event Venue Hire

4.1. Venue hire requires a signed contract and deposit payment.

4.2. The client is responsible for any damages caused by them or their guests during the event.

4.3. Events must conclude by the agreed time, with all guests departing promptly.

4.4. We reserve the right to require security personnel for events at the client's expense.

5. Payments and Pricing

5.1. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

5.2. We reserve the right to adjust menu prices without prior notice, though confirmed bookings will be honored at the quoted price.

5.3. We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. We do not accept personal checks.

5.4. A 10% service charge may be added to tables of 8 or more people.

6. Dietary Requirements and Allergies

6.1. While we make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions, we cannot guarantee completely allergen-free environments due to shared kitchen spaces.

6.2. It is the customer's responsibility to inform staff of any allergies or dietary requirements when ordering.

7. Conduct Policy

7.1. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

7.2. Disorderly or disrespectful behavior toward staff or other guests will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the premises.

7.3. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the age of 18 or appearing intoxicated.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. All content on our website, including logos, images, and text, is the property of Plantation Cafe and protected by copyright laws.

8.2. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. Plantation Cafe is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property while on our premises.

9.2. Our total liability to you for any claim related to our services is limited to the value of the services provided.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
